School to Career

Working with the School to Career Office at Manchester High School, the Chamber helps to identify any business in the community who will provide a job shadow or intern experience for high school students allowing students to investigate careers of interest to them.

LIFE

The Low Income Family Earners Program offers Manchester families who meet the Program's criteria a support system giving them the opportunity to obtain better paying jobs. This two-year program includes built-in incentives as set milestones are reached by the participants. The Chamber's efforts are coupled with the Capital Workforce Partners, Vernon Regional Adult Basic Education, the Office of Workforce Competitiveness, Capital Region Education Council, Catholic Charities, Manchester Community College, Town of Manchester, numerous Town Human Service Agencies, and State of Connecticut.
